Hard work, passion and dedication has allowed us to maintain 4 teams in the Avon Netball Association Senior League, ranging from Divisions 1-8. It’s an achievement we’re super proud of.

Team sizes vary depending on ability, but we always try to accommodate everyone as best we can.  We hold club trials at the beginning of every season which allow us to figure out the best team combinations for the season ahead.

We’re all about opportunity and development here at Storm so our teams will change and adapt continually throughout the season as individual’s progress and we welcome new members to the club.

Matches are played indoors at UWE and Bradley Stoke Community School sports facilities.

The Avon Netball League runs from September through to April. Results for the 2018/2019 season can be found here.

We also participate in the Avon Summer League which runs between June and July. This is the summer social league, it’s fun and competitive and a great way of maintaining your fitness over the summer break, drop us an email to find out more.

Our teams train every Monday evening from June to April (excluding bank holidays) from 7pm-9pm, at Fairfields High School in Horfield. We sometimes hold training sessions on different days at different venues so please get in touch if you are thinking of coming along.

Sessions are planned in advance by our club coach, Fiona. We begin with a group warm up and move on to a series of skills-based drills, finishing off with an hour of match play rotating between club teams.

Fiona works closely with all four teams and brings many years of experience to the club, along with her vibrant, sassy personality! Fiona started playing for Storm when she was just 19, where she grew her skills until she was selected to play for Avon’s County squad for an incredible 3 seasons. Fiona continues to play at a high level but has found a new passion in coaching – using her leadership skills and passion for the sport to motivate, inspire and develop players.

We’re embarking on our second season with Fiona as club coach and we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!
